CURIOS webinar on eye exams

Posted on

Well, I have to say that that was one of the most gratifying teaching experiences that I have participated in. We just had the first webinar of our second season of CURIOS webinars – it seemed to go really well.

First, for those of you who missed it, a lot of the material is still available here:

We also recorded the entire webinar but that will only be available to CURIOS subscribers.

At the above link, we have the edited sections of videos that we created for the webinar, the Quiz section where you can try your mettle on some cases on your own, plus we left a lot of links to original YouTube material that we found. Go check it out!

I am really grateful to Dr Gord Douglas, Dr Hilary Delver and Dana Young for putting together a really clear set of videos that we could work from. They put a lot of time into this.

I also appreciated the power of the new CURIOS video mashup tool, which allowed us to excerpt segments from these and other YouTube videos that we found.

Thanks also to the participating audience who were not shy to jump in with questions and direct the flow of the conversation. This is what CURIOS is all about – combining social media, interactive webinars and video mashups to create or curate a very immersive learning experience.
